Join us for spoken-word performances celebrating all things Nottingham culture and history, with the opportunity to perform on the open mic yourself!
Poets have been working with GOBS Collective founder Bridie Squires and University of Nottingham academic and poet Dr Hongwei Bao to create work especially for this event, which has been compiled into an anthology that’ll be made available for free on the day.
Come along and try out your performance skills, or just sit back and enjoy an afternoon of proper Notts poetry.
This event is part of Being Human Festival, the UK’s national festival of the humanities, taking place 7–16 November 2024. Led by the School of Advanced Study, University of London, with generous support from Research England, in partnership with the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the British Academy.
